The Reverend Andrew Christiansen
Fr. Drew was born and raised in Saginaw, MI. He came to St. Michael’s and All Angels in January of 2023. Prior to that, he served as Upper School Chaplain at Ascension Episcopal School in Lafayette, LA from 2021-2022 and Associate Priest and School Chaplain at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Shreveport, LA from 2017-2021 where he met his wife Rachael who teaches pre-school. Fr. Drew holds a Master of Divinity from Bexley Hall Seminary and is currently working toward a doctorate in church history under the Lutheran theologian Paul Hinlicky on the topic of German churches during WWII. Fr. Drew enjoys reading, traveling, food, music, classic movies, and spending time with Rachael and their dogs Nelli and Miles and their cat Grit. He plays bass guitar, and you can catch him around Lake Charles playing in the band Jumping Jehoshaphats. Fr. Drew is a member of Lake Charles Rotary Club and of EFAC-USA (Evangelical Fellowship in the Anglican Communion). He has written for Anglican Digest, Anglican Theological Review, The Living Church, and Logia: A Journal of Lutheran Theology. |
